Health Protection Agency (HPA) has released 63 individuals from isolation after they tested negative for COVID-19.
Speaking at a press conference, Spokesperson of National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) Mohamed Mabrook Azeez revealed 63 individuals who were isolated after showing COVID-19 like symptoms have now been released after their test results came double negative. He said the individuals released from isolation includes 60 individuals in Bandos Quarantine Facility and Madivaru Quarantine Facility.
The spokesperson said 3 Maldivians isolated in Velidhoo Isolation Facility after directly contacting with Belgian professional footballer Marouane Fellaini have also been released. Mabrook stated Fellaini was infected with COVID-19 after he left for China after a vacation in Maldives. He said the three individuals also tested and resulted negative for COVID-19.
NEOC stated there are currently 12 individuals in isolation facilities and 852 individuals in quarantine facilities in Maldives.
