Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has completed the development of the quarantine facility for expatriates in Hulhumale'.
HDC said the recently constructed distribution centre built by the corporation has been converted to a quarantine facility for expatriates. HDC said the 667-bed facility includes an additional toilet block with a shower area which was completed in 10 days. HDC revealed the toilet blocks were constructed by Fedo Private Limited as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
As part of the efforts of the government to shift expatriates living in poor conditions in Male' City to better accomodation facilities, 3,000 expatriates will be transferred to Hulhumale', Gulhifalhu and Vilivaru.
