National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has begun preparing a guideline on adapting to a new normal once the lockdown imposed in the Greater Male' Region is eased.
Speaking at the daily press briefing, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal from the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) said efforts are underway to prepare a guideline for people to return to a new normal following the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Afzal said the policy will include instructions for various government offices and authorities as well as information for the general public. He further said more details on adapting to new normal will be shared in time and once the guideline is finalised.
Speaking at the briefing, Spokesperson of NEOC Mohamed Mabrook Azeez said the adaptation to a new normal will include different phases. He said the guideline will include key focus areas although more details will be shared with the public once the final draft is ready.
In previous new conferences, NEOC has said the lockdown cannot be extended for a long period despite individuals testing positive on a daily basis. However, NEOC urged the public to bring wholesome changes to people's lifestyle as a new normal is embraced.
