Fourth COVID-19 patient passes away in the Maldives

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed a fourth COVID-19 patient has passed away in the Maldives.

HPA said the patient who passed away was an 88-year-old Maldivian man and underwent treatment for COVID-19 in the DH11 facility at Dharumavantha Hospital.

Previously, an 83-year-old Maldivian woman, an 80-year-old Maldivian man, and a 33-year-old Bangladeshi man had passed away due to COVID-19. A total of 40 individuals, including 26 Maldivians and 14 foreigners, have made a full recovery from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

So far, over 950 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives.
