NEOC asks for cooperation in taking samples

National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has asked for cooperation from the public in taking samples from elderly citizens.

Speaking at the daily press briefing held at the NEOC, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal from the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) said taking samples from elderly citizens is a priority to identify the situation of COVID-19 in vulnerable communities. the doctor said the medical teams are not getting enough cooperation from the public in taking such samples, adding the risk of COVID-19 on elderly citizens is high. He said most elderly citizens suffer from other illnesses, highlighting the importance of beginning treatment if they test positive for COVID-19.

Furthermore, the doctor said the number of tests done for COVID-19 has not decreased, although the caseload is low these days.
