Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has stated 23 officers and staff of Maldives Police Service (MPS) who tested positive for COVID-19 are doing well.
In a tweet, the commissioner further said a total of 293 officers and staff have been isolated to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Hameed further stated MPS is currently taking enhanced preventive measures to further mitigate the spread. He also applauded the courageous and hard work of officers and staff during tremendously challenging times.
National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has said 199 frontline workers including medical professionals, police officers, military personnel and volunteers have been isolated after they tested positive for COVID-19.
