Maldives records sixth death from COVID-19

Maldives has recorded a sixth death from COVID-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed a 54-year-old Bangladeshi man died while seeking treatment for COVID-19 in Tree Top Hospital. He is the sixth individual and the third Bangladeshi national to die from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the Maldives has risen to 1,829. This includes 1,335 active cases, 6 deaths and 488 recoveries. In addition, HPA revealed 1,403 individuals are currently in quarantine facilities, while 1,258 individuals are in isolation facilities.
