Number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives tops 600

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed the total number of recoveries from COVID-19 in the Maldives has topped 600.

HPA reported 120 recoveries on June 2, bringing the total recoveries in the Maldives to 608. The percentage of COVID-19 recoveries in the Maldives now stands at 33.24%.

Meanwhile, an additional 12 cases were reported on June 2, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,841. There are currently 1,226 active cases, including 12 patients who are undergoing treatment at Tree Top Hospital and in the DH11 facility at Dharumavantha Hospital. Maldives has recorded 7 deaths from COVID-19, including four Maldivians aged 80, 83, 88 and 89, and three Bangladeshis aged 33, 45 and 54.

Currently, there are 1,403 individuals in quarantine facilities and 1,258 individuals in isolation facilities across the Maldives.
