The NazimAfaa Foundation has donated 6,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Maldivian Drivers Association.
The donation was handed over by the Chairman of NazimAfaa Foundation Mohamed Nazim to the President of Maldivian Drivers Association Abdulla Ibrahim. The donation included 1,000 sanitiser bottles, 2,000 face masks and 3,000 gloves.
Speaking at the function held to hand over the donations, Nazim said the foundation decided to donate the safety items to drivers to appreciate their efforts in serving the public amid the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage practicing safety measures in order to stay safe from COVID-19.
Nazim, who is also a member of the Parliament of the Maldives, has been working on providing safety supplies and equipment to front line workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He had recently facilitated the donation of 60,000 masks and 1,000 PPE kits by Linbaq Holdings of Malaysia.
