Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed an 89-year-old Maldivian man has passed away from COVID-19.
HPA said the man passed away at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility on August 2. This is the 18th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives. It is also the second COVID-19 death within the last 24 hours.
The first COVID-19 death was recorded in the Maldives on April 29. The COVID-19 deaths recorded in the country include 12 Maldivians and 6 foreigners.
Maldives has recorded over 4,000 COVID-19 cases.
