Two more airlines set to resume operations to the Maldives

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced Hong Kong Airlines and IndiGo have scheduled to resume operations to the Maldives in August.

Airlines have been resuming operations to the Maldives after the country reopened its borders on July 15, more than 110 days after borders were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Four airlines, including Qatar Airways, Sri Lankan Airlines, Emirates and Etihad Airways, resumed commercial operations to the Maldives in the past month.

MACL said many airlines are in talks to resume commercial operations later this year.
