COVID-19 death toll in the Maldives rises to 19

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed the COVID-19 death toll in the Maldives has risen to 19.

HPA said the last death was recorded at 0930hrs on August when an 80-year-old Maldivian woman passed away from COVID-19. HPA said she was admitted and undergoing treatment at Hulhumale' Medical Facility when she passed away.

This is the third COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives in the past 3 days. So far, 13 Maldivians and 6 foreigners have died from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
