Baa Atoll Hospital has revealed the 81-year old COVID-19 patient who sought treatment in Eydhafushi Medical Facility has been released upon recovery.
The hospital said the patient was released after 15-days in treatment. The patient was admitted in the Eydhafushi treatment facility in August 23. He was the first patient to be admitted in a COVID-19 medical facility outside the Greater Male’ Region.
The government has developed COVID-19 medical facilities in five regions across Maldives. The facility in Eydhafushi was developed to house and treat patients who test positive for the virus from the atolls of Noonu, Raa, Baa and Lhaviyani.
