Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives has risen to 9,052.
According to statistics of HPA, 62 new cases were reported from 1800 hours of September 11 to 1800 hours of September 12, including 44 locals and 18 expatriates. HPA said out of the 62 new cases, 51 cases were detected from Greater Male’ region and 11 were from the atolls and resorts.
The latest cases reported in the Maldives has taken the total number of cases to 9,052 including 1,966 active cases, 7,055 recoveries and 31 deaths. HPA revealed 116 COVID-19 patients are currently admitted in hospitals.
Statistics from the HPA indicate 28 islands and 25 resorts currently have active COVID-19 cases.
