Soneva Fushi Resort has announced it will be opening the world’s biggest water villas for tourists this week.
The resort in Baa Atoll is set to open 8 new water villas for tourists this week. Each water villa has an area of 584 square feet, which is 12 times larger than the size of an average flat in the UK. One-room villas are priced at USD 2,626 per night, while a two-room villa would cost USD 5,232 per night.
The villas are designed with unique features, including a sliding roof. This allows tourists to have a view of the sky as they lay on bed. The villas also include spacious outdoor bathrooms, swimming pools and water slides.
Soneva Fushi Resort said the water villas have been built higher than most of the common water villas, in order to reduce the impact of waves. The resort also said a staff will be allocated to serve the tourists in each water villa.
Opened in 1995, Soneva Fushi is a renowned resort in the Maldives, known for its high-quality services for tourists.
