The UK has added the Maldives to its Travel Corridors List.
UK’s Transport Secretary Grant Shapps stated travellers returning from Canary Islands, Denmark, Mykonos and the Maldives will no longer have to quarantine for 14 days upon return. UK reviews its travel corridors list referring to the COVID-19 situation of the countries, the measures taken to contain the virus and the safety and precautions imposed for travellers.
Upon opening of borders, many tourists have arrived to the Maldives from UK. So far in October, 525 tourists have arrived in the Maldives from the UK.
