Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed an 45-year-old Maldivian female has passed away from COVID-19.
HPA said the female passed away at 1438hrs on November 10, while undergoing treatment at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. This is the 41st COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives, and the third in November. So far, 33 Maldivians and 8 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
As per the statistics of HPA, there are currently 807 active cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives, including 47 patients admitted in medical facilities for treatment. A total of 12,030 cases have been reported in the Maldives since COVID-19 was first detected in the country on March 7.
