Ministry of Tourism has revealed over 33,000 tourist beds have been brought into operation since reopening of borders.
As per the statistics of the tourism ministry, 33,776 tourist beds are in operation across 349 facilities, as of November 18. The facilities currently in operation includes 125 resorts, 189 hotels and guesthouses and 122 liveaboards.
Maldives reopened its borders on July 15, more than three months after borders were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 59,105 tourists have visited the Maldives since borders were reopened.
