Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) introduces paramedic services for emergency response.
Speaking to PSM News, Dr. Ahmed Ziyan from IGMH stated paramedic services have been introduced to ensure emergency medical treatment can be provided in the ambulance. Dr. Ziyan said with the introduction of the service, paramedic staff will be responding to ambulance calls and providing medical instructions. He said the ambulance will be sent with a paramedic if required, depending on the situation.
IGMH commenced paramedic services with 3 paramedic ambulances and 12 staff. IGMH states new staff will be added to the paramedic team from January onwards.
