Registration open for vaccination of undocumented expatriates

Maldives Red Crescent (MRC) has opened registration for the vaccination of undocumented expatriate workers in the Maldives.

MRC said efforts are underway to ensure undocumented expatriates can also get vaccinated against COVID-19, considering the large number of undocumented workers residing in the Maldives. MRC said vaccination of such individuals will be carried out after registering them under the MRC Beneficiary System. MRC said the target is to register 250 workers per day in the system.

COVID-19 vaccination began in the Maldives on February 1. So far, over 70,000 people have been vaccinated in the Maldives. The government aims to vaccinate the entire population within 6-7 months.
