Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has stated COVID-19 vaccination will take place at night during the month of Ramadan.
Speaking at a press conference, Spokesperson of HEOC Dr. Fathimath Nazla Rafeeq said the centre has planned to carry out vaccination at night during Ramadan. She added the locations and schedule will be released before the start of Ramadan.
COVID-19 vaccination began in the Maldives on February 1. So far, over 165,000 people have received their first dose of the vaccine in the Maldives. Vaccination is currently open for all individuals above the age of 18.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health Ahmed Naseem had recently revealed plans to begin administering the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 15.
