Health Protection Agency (HPA) has lifted monitoring status in Addu City.
Addu was placed under monitoring on February 6 following the formation of multiple COVID-19 clusters across different wards of the city. As such, 91 people tested positive in Addu across three different clusters.
Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) stated about 5,000 samples were obtained for testing in Addu. Monitoring status was lifted after all contacts of positive cases and random samples tested negative for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, all but 3 of the 91 cases reported in Addu have fully recovered.
