JSC begins investigation of two judges over disciplinary cases

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has commenced investigations into Criminal Court Judge Hassan Saeed and Civil Court Judge Rizmeen Idrees over disciplinary cases.

JSC has stated the case against Judge Saeed involves the Family Court approving marriages of its employees in foreign countries in 2018, during which Saeed was the Chief Judge at the Family Court. JSC has previously conducted multiple investigations on Judge Saeed over disciplinary issues.

JSC further stated the case against Judge Idrees involves him holding a court hearing without a legal representative present. JSC has formed investigation committees to probe the cases.
