Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed the company has carried out 86 projects across the country during the second quarter of 2021.
As per the quarterly financial report of MTCC, the state-owned company carried out 86 infrastructure development projects across the country during the second quarter, including 41 harbour development projects, 15 land reclamation projects, 11 shore protection projects, 10 road development projects and 2 airport development projects.
The report revealed MTCC had successfully completed two projects during the second quarter, which include the regional port development project in Thinadhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and the harbour development project in Addu City Meedhoo. The report also revealed MTCC had commenced 9 new projects during this period.
As per the financial report, the second quarter was a financially successful period for the company. In this regard, the report revealed MTCC had recorded an income of USD 27.5 million during the second quarter, which is a 0.07% increase on the first quarter.
