Kurinbi, Feeali receive new electrical generators

Fenaka Corporation Limited has provided new electrical generators to Kurinbi in Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Feeali in Faafu Atoll.

Fenaka provided a 250 kW generator to Kurinbi and a 400 kW generator to Feeali to strengthen the electricity capacity in the islands. The corporation stated the additional generators will enable the electricity services provided to be greatly improved and facilitate the provision of uninterrupted electricity services to the islands.

Kurunbi has been experiencing unstable electricity with occasional blackouts since the current generator is unable to meet the demand for electricity for the 450 residents on the island. The additional generator is expected to be in use as soon as it is installed in the island's powerhouse.

Furthermore, the Feeali Fenaka Branch confirmed the new generator will be installed soon and that it has also received new cables to replace the current power cable network of the island.

Fenaka stated it always ensures that island communities are provided with an exceptional supply of electricity, water, and safe and reliable sewer services. Fenaka provides electricity to more than 150 islands in the Maldives.
