Aasandha to provide medicine once per prescription

Aasandha Company Limited has announced it will begin providing medicine once per prescription from October.

In 2020, the national health insurance company began allowing individuals with long-term prescriptions to receive their medicine twice per prescription in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company stated individuals with long-term prescriptions will soon need to get a new prescription from their doctor if they wish to receive more medicine.

Aasandha also reversed its policy of allowing children over 28 days old to receive services from the identity cards of their parents. The company stated that parents with children over 28 days old will need to use the identity card of the child to receive services from November.

Furthermore, the national health insurance company advised customers to provide their original identity card and related documents, instead of copies, to receive services. The company stated it has provided continuous service despite difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company revealed over 300,000 individuals have used the services of the company in the first seven months of this year, which amounts to USD 78 million.
