Vice President stresses importance of maintaining the quality of state-funded projects

Vice President Faisal Naseem has urged to pursue the best possible methods to maintain quality in state-funded projects to offer the most benefit to the people.

The vice president made the statement while speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the construction of Masjid Al-Hudha in Fuvahmulah City. The mosque, which is located in the Miskiymagu ward of Fuvahmulah City, would cater to up to 450 worshippers at a time upon completion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Naseem said the government aims to ensure all state-funded projects maintain a certain standard of quality for it to be beneficial to the people. He urged the contractor of the mosque to ensure the mosque is easily accessible to people of all ages, and is constructed to a high standard of quality.

Construction of Masjid Al-Hudha was contracted to be completed within 333 days. The project was contracted to a local company on August 8, at a price of USD 570,000.
