Ministry of Education has awarded the contracts for the development of infrastructure required by 3 schools across the atolls.
At a ceremony held at the education ministry on January 9, contracts were awarded for the development of additional classrooms, staffrooms, office and multipurpose halls in Lhaimagu School of Shaviyani Atoll, Alifu Alifu Atoll Education Centre and Inguraidhoo School of Raa Atoll.
The project in Lhaimagu School was awarded to Yes Maldives Private Limited. The project was contracted at a price of USD 1 million, to be completed within 1 year.
The project in Alifu Alifu Atoll Education Centre was also contracted to Yes Maldives Private Limited. The project was contracted at a price of USD 1.35 million, to be completed within 1 year and 2 months.
Meanwhile, the project in Inguraidhoo School was awarded to Mala High Rising Construction Private Limited. The project was contracted at a price of USD 1 million, to be completed within 1 year.
