Health Protection Agency (HPA) is considering imposing a 14-day quarantine on individuals who have not received the COVID-19 booster dose.
PSM News received information that HPA is considering revoking the ease of COVID-19 restrictions for eligible individuals who have not received the booster dose. Currently, individuals positive for COVID-19 are required to undergo seven days of quarantine while those who came in contact with them are required to undergo 10 days of quarantine. HPA is now considering imposing strict measures for individuals who have not received the booster dose due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
The health agency opened the administration of the COVID-19 booster doses to the public on January 15. All individuals above the age of 18 who have reached six months since receiving their second COVID-19 vaccine can receive the booster dose.
