Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has revealed it is working with local councils to promote local tourism. MMPRC stated it is holding meetings with local councils under three sessions.
During the meetings, members of MMPRC and the councils discussed venues for collaboration, as well as the work to promote the Maldives as a travel destination. MMPRC stated the meetings will help in promoting the islands as unique destinations and gain the assistance of local councils in promotional events.
Council members were also informed of the promotional opportunities available on their own islands, as well as provided details on Maldiventure, which is a tourism-related competition.
Maldiventure is produced by PSM in partnership with MMPRC to help locals develop tourism establishments in their residential islands.
