Ooredoo Maldives has passed to distribute USD0.17 per share of its profits.
The decision was passed with the support of 98.7% of the 1,202 shareholders who took part in the meeting. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ooredoo was held at Crossroads Maldives.
Ooredoo generated an income of over USD115 million last year while USD30 million was generated as net profit. The USD 0.17 approved for distribution is an increase compared to the previous year. As such, USD 0.15 was distributed per share last year.
Ooredoo has advised shareholders to be cautious over delays that may be caused in obtaining shares due to the 10% deduction from their shares that do not confirm their residency following the amendments made to Income Tax Act.
