A cancer screening camp has commenced in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The cancer screening camp is an initiative of the Cancer Society and Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH). The camp is conducted at Ufanhiya in Kulhudhuffushi.
During this camp, screening will be carried out for breast cancer, oral cancer and cervical cancer. KRH stated screening for breast cancer is open for women aged 18 and above, while screening for cervical cancer is open for women aged 20 and above. Oral cancer screening is open for individuals of all ages.
The cancer screening camp was also held in Nolhivaranfaru in Haa Dhaalu Atoll on March 18. The Cancer Society revealed 242 people were screened for cancer during the camp in Nolhivaranfaru.
