Ooredoo begins promotional campaign for Kandoodhoo chilli

Telecommunications company Ooredoo Maldives has partnered with Kandoodhoo Island Council to promote the island’s chilli products.

Ooredoo began the campaign to promote Kandoodhoo’s chilli brand made by local farmers, for the month of Ramadan. The Kandoodhoo chilli brand was introduced at a special ceremony, during which a special logo and website was also launched. At the ceremony, Managing Director of Ooredoo Khalid al-Hamadi said the main purpose of the campaign is to allow Kandoodhoo residents to fully benefit from the sales of their chilli brand, and he assured Ooredoo will continue campaigning for the brand in the future.

Furthermore, Ooredoo has introduced a hot sauce produced by Enzi Maldives using Kandoodhoo chilli. The hot sauce is meant to appeal to various customers with diverging tastes and is available at the Kandoodhoo chilli website and Ooredoo’s e-commercial platform Moolee.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Local Government Authority (LGA) Afshan Latheef said Ooredoo’s campaign is also part of LGA’s strategic goals, as it is a collaboration with the local council to expand business opportunities in the island communities.

Chilli products made in Kandoodhoo, Thaa Atoll, are renowned across the country for their unique flavor.
