Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) has held a seminar with 20 higher education centres to disclose the new guidelines on e-learning.
MQA had given special permissions to higher education centres to conduct e-learning classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the e-learning guidelines is to maintain higher education standards in the programmes conducted as part of the e-learning delivery modality.
During the seminar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MQA Dr. Abdul Hannan Waheed provided details on the new guidelines and answered questions from the participants. He said that MQA held discussions with the relevant authorities and higher education experts before formulating the new guidelines. The new e-learning guidelines will be implemented after MQA advisory board gives its approval and the guidelines are published on the government gazette.
