Banks to open on April 30 during Eid holidays

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has revealed banks will be providing services on April 30, during the upcoming Eid holidays.

The government will be closed from April 29 to May 7 for Eid al-Fitr and weekends. MMA had earlier announced banks will be opened on May 4 amid the Eid holidays. However, MMA stated opening of banks has been moved ahead to April 30.

The central bank said banking services will be available on April 30 from 0930hrs to 1200hrs under an appointment policy. MMA said letters and items can also be submitted during the same hours.

Following the announcement by MMA, Bank of Maldives (BML) and Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has also decided to provide services from 0930hrs to 1200hrs on April 30.
