MNACI President delivers statement at UNGA

President of Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) Janah Mohamed Ali has delivered his statement at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) high-level thematic debate on putting sustainable and resilient tourism at the heart of an inclusive recovery. He delivered the statement as the president of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors Association.

During his speech, MNACI President Janah highlighted the importance of prioritising the use of technology in construction and decreasing waste output. He also spoke about developing economies by supporting various industries and sectors.

MNACI President Janah thanked President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNPGA) Abdulla Shahid and United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili for inviting him to attend the high-level debate at the UN Headquarters in New York City, US. He also paid a courtesy call on the UNPGA and held a meeting with the UNWTO secretary-general on the sidelines.
