Ooredoo Maldives has kickstarted Ooredoo World Cup Foari with the aim to create an exciting World Cup experience across the nation that can be enjoyed together with friends and family.
The activities of the campaign were officially launched by Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof. Team Ooredoo and Team Hard Rock Hotel played a friendly match at the kick-off event held at Crossroads Maldives. The event also featured performances by Habeys Boduberu and Red Bull Freestyle Champion of Maldives Mohamed Saif Zahir.
Speaking about the activities, the Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer Khalid Al Hamadi said Ooredoo aims to offer unforgettable experiences for the World Cup fans across the Maldives. He said Ooredoo is working to provide a colourful and enjoyable football festival for football fans in the Maldives.
The leading telecommunications operator, Ooredoo, was announced as the Official Middle East and Africa Telecommunications Operator of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
