Responding to questions, Saeed said the shipping industry is connected to all other sectors in the Maldives and therefore needs to be further developed. He noted the tourism sector will not be able to survive without the shipping industry, as it brings in the products used by tourists during their stay.

The panel discussion was held by MSS and State Trading Organisation (STO) on the theme of Career in Maritime. Discussions were led by the maritime professionals Managing Director Saeed, Captain Mohamed Nazim, Captain Mohamed Zaid, and Captain Adhil Rasheed.
