The Government of the Maldives has granted Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning equipment to several schools under the Maldives Learning and Advancement and Measurement Project (LAMP).
The equipment were handed over to schools during a special ceremony held at the Ministry of Education on June 30. The equipment were received by principals and senior management officials of the respective schools.
LAMP is a project established at the Ministry of Education, under the grant assistance of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The project has a grant of USD3.1 million, of which USD100,000 has been allocated for the purchase of PPE and cleaning equipment. The project aims to distribute the equipment to all 212 government schools before the beginning of the next academic year.
