BML advises customers to plan transactions this week

Bank of Maldives (BML) has advised its customer to plan any important transactions within this week.

BML made the announcement with regards to the upcoming holidays to avoid any inconvenience. The bank noted that it will be closed from July 10-14 during the Eid holidays, as announced by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), and will re-open on July 17. As such, customers have been advised to plan any transactions and requests prior to this period.

BML said that any requests for processing cheques and international and local transfers should be made prior to the deadline and that any requests made afterwards will be processed after BML re-opens. BML stated that requests for international transfers made before 1330hrs will be completed within the day, as well as requests for local payments and transfers made before 1200hrs. Additionally, the bank will process cheques submitted before 1400hrs within the day, as well as cheques from other banks submitted before 1100hrs.

Furthermore, BML stated that the self-service banking centres across the country will continue to provide deposit, withdrawal and transfer services 24 hours a day. BML encouraged customers to use its internet banking and mobile app services for daily banking during the holidays, adding that basic banking services will be provided by cash agents.
