Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards capacity building with Gleneagles Global Health City.
As per the MoU, Gleneagles will be providing opportunities to join training and observership programmes to doctors and nurses and will also be providing assistance to the various departments at IGMH. As such, the staff at IGMH will be provided with opportunities to join observership programmes and will receive assistance in areas such as gastro-science, neurosurgery, and various specialist fields. The programmes will be conducted in collaboration with Waldives Private Limited, a distributor of medical and laboratory products in the Maldives.
The MoU will also allow IGMH to receive help from specialist doctors for medical treatment and surgeries that are not normally available at the hospital, resulting in fewer patients having to travel abroad for treatment.
