Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed over 600 people have received a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Last month, HPA began administering a fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine to individuals above the age of 65 and others classified as high-risk individuals. HPA revealed 689 individuals have received the fourth dose of the vaccine, as of July 11.
As per the statistics, 398,949 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 384,648 people have received two doses. This represents 88.11% and 84.95% of the eligible population, respectively. Furthermore, 165,066 individuals have received a third dose as a booster shot, representing 36.45% of the eligible population.
HPA is administering COVID-19 vaccines to all individuals above the age of 12. Children aged 12-17 are now eligible to receive a third dose of the vaccine.
