Ministry of Education has hired Evosun Maldives Private Limited to build classrooms in Jalaluddin School in Kulhudhuffushi City. The agreement was signed by Senior Policy Director at the Ministry of Education Naushad Ibrahim and Director of Evosun Maldives Riffath Ibrahim.
The education ministry stated that the construction of the classrooms in Jalaluddin School is funded through the 2021 Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) budget and that USD600,000 will be spent on the project. Evosun Maldives is contracted to build eight classrooms within one year.
Furthermore, the education ministry has hired Well Trading Company Private Limited to rebuild the Majeediyya School wall. The agreement was signed by Senior Policy Director at the Ministry of Education Moosa Naeem and Director of Finance at Well Trading Company Abdulla Asim.
The education ministry stated that the construction of the Majeediyya School wall is also funded by the 2021 PSIP budget. Well Trading Company is tasked with rebuilding the wall within 40 days at a cost of USD117,000.
