Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) and the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) have signed an agreement to train MWSC employees in technical fields.
MWSC signed the agreement with MIT for a period of five years to train employees in various fields. Managing Director of MTCC Hassan Shah and Director of Programme at MIT Adam Haleem signed the agreement of the venture.
Under the agreement, MWSC employees will be trained in various fields in courses conducted by MIT. MWSC said it is committed to developing its human resources to improve the quality of services provided. As such, short courses will be conducted to provide training to the employees in the areas required. The courses will be recognised by the Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA).
Under the agreement, MWSC will provide technical assistance in designing the technical courses conducted by MIT and other MIT trainees will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through MWSC. The company said it aims to build competent employees and provide quality services to the people.
