Taza launches new environmentally friendly products

Island Beverages Maldives (IBM) has launched new environmentally friendly Taza brand products.

At a ceremony held at Hotel Jen, the new products were launched by Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom along with Chairman of IBM Ibrahim Anwar and the Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Managing Director Hassan Shah.

IBM, a subsidiary of MWSC, launched its disposable plastic bottles in three ranges, 1L and 500ml Taza glass bottles and 19L Taza5G bottles. IBM launched the new products as part of its 20th anniversary Fresh Environment campaign.

Speaking at the launch of Taza's new products, Minister Maumoon said the initiative of IBM will assist the government to achieve its target of reducing the use of disposable plastic. He said it will benefit the initiative launched by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to achieve net zero by 2030.

Speaking at the ceremony, Anwar said IBM is working hard to maintain water quality. He said each product is sealed by three different filtration processes to further purify and preserve the water and give a dose of five essential minerals for the body. He said IBM is working hard to improve the quality of service while demand for its products has increased. As such, he noted the distribution fleet in the city has doubled in the past three years.

The newly introduced Taza brand products will be available in the market from August 15 while online orders can also be made.
