Commercial units in Vinares open for lease

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened the commercial units in Vinares flat buildings for lease. It is the first time the units in Vinares were opened for business outlets.

The Vinares housing project involves the construction of 10 towers with 1,344 housing units, all of which are three-room apartments. The project aims to resolve some of the housing difficulties faced in the Greater Male’ Region.

HDC has so far opened four units for businesses from the Vinares buildings. As such, two units are allocated for meat and fish shops and two units are for convenience stores. HDC said the units for meat and fish shops will be allocated from Vinares 5 and 7 which have a land area of 723 acres and 656 acres. Additionally, the units for convenience stores will be allocated from Vinares 4 and 9 which have a land area of 702 acres, as per the state-owned company.

Furthermore, HDC revealed a pre-proposal meeting will be held on the lease on August 22 and bidding will be opened from August 30-31. HSC said further details of the lease of commercial units from Vinares will be available from its website.

The Vinares flats have been developed under four main categories, which include inner view, outer view, marina view and standard view apartments. The sizes of the flats range between 883sqft to 1,395sqft.
