Aasandha, the universal social health insurance scheme of the Maldives, becomes available for patients getting treatment from Hiya Medical Centre.
Hiya Medical Centre was established by Life Support Medical Services Private Limited in Hulhumale' Phase II. The centre noted the arrangements for Aasandha availability were directly assisted by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The medical centre has been designed to provide a multitude of different services. As such, the centre provides OPD consultation with specialist doctors, X-ray and scanning services, and minor procedures. The centre also includes a dental centre and a treatment facility for patients in daily observation.
