Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has contracted Three Tree Maldives Private Limited to develop an additional futsal pitch in Eydhafushi, Baa Atoll.
During a meeting held with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on September 3, Eydhafushi Island Council highlighted the need for another futsal ground for the island’s youth population, which was delayed despite being included in the state budget. The president assured the council members that the practical work of the project would begin soon.
The stadium will be developed on the west side of the newly reclaimed land on the island. The project is to be completed within 50 days at a cost of USD90,900.
Eydhafushi Island Council has planned to expand the existing futsal pitch developed in 2015.
