BML announces recipients of Housing Grant

Bank of Maldives (BML) announced the recipients of its Housing Grant introduced as part of the series of high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Through the initiative, the national bank will build and fully furnish houses for three vulnerable families across the country. BML said the fund is open for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and island councils to nominate families in need of safe housing anywhere in the country. The grants were allocated to NGOs from Funadhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, Velidhoo in Noonu Atoll and Maamigili in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.

The Acting Managing Director Aishath Noordeen commented supporting communities with initiatives such as the Housing Grant, is a main focus of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. She expressed delight to have the opportunity to support the most vulnerable members in society.
