The 45th International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Associations (IFAWPCA) convention will be held in the Maldives from November 15 to 19, 2022.
The 45th convention is held under the theme Construction with Conservation - Build a Better World. The annual convention is the largest event held regionally for the construction sector. All Asia Pacific countries will present country reports at the five-day convention. The convention will be attended by 20 Asia Pacific countries and about 10 United Nations (UN) associations.
Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI) stated that the convention would be hugely beneficial for the Maldives. MACI said the convention will be attended by the most prominent players in the construction industry and will provide a great opportunity for Maldivian contractors, businessmen, and developers to meet and discuss the solutions to the problems faced in the construction sector.
It is the first time Maldives is hosting an IFAWPCA Convention. The convention has been delayed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest edition was held in Malaysia.
